It has only been a few months since I have started driving a toronto limo for starnightlimousine.ca but so far it has been one of the most enjoyable experiences that I have had the pleasure of having. I’m lucky that I was even able to find a job as Toronto has had a down turn in the economy unfortunately, leaving many of us without work. Truth be told, I’ve often wondered what it would be like to become a limousine driver! They always seem so well dressed and composed but it’s not too hard to look great in such a fine suit. A suit makes a man, as they say! Since I started driving for a local venue here in town I have been asked by my friends what it’s like to drive a limo and what kind of experience they might need themselves to be able to get a job doing what I do.
The first thing that I tell them is that they will want to want the job; driving a limousine means that you are going to be spending a lot of time giving your fare an experience rather than just ‘a ride’: you’re not a taxi driver! You have to be dependable and loyal to the customer that you are working for, you’ll want to have good vision, hand-eye-coordination and even some basic math skills because some customers are still using cash. While you might not always make the most money, I only make thirteen dollars an hour, it is still a good wage for doing what you are. I find something very zen and calming about driving a limousine although you will have to be able to qualify for a special license before you can just start driving for anyone! If you are as inspired as I was about driving, I wholly encourage doing so!
Education is going to be one of the most defining necessities of a world that is governed not by technology but by the progression and understanding of technology. A whole new generation of thinkers are going to have to be taught to learn in a flexible fashion in order to take on multiple disciplines which are going to be required to engineer the future of medicine, of architecture, of software engineering and more. That’s why established entities that can provide home tuition in singapore, or CourseA.org, or even Codeschool.com are going to be integral to how we develop this post-education framework. If we want to continue the advancement of human civilization, it is going to be through education and intelligent education policy. No longer can we only rely upon established physical Universities to control the ebb and flow of information, of knowledge or the expertise training that individuals can receive. We must think beyond these physical barriers and look to what the Internet can provide.
CourseA.org, for me, is an excellent example of what a post-establishment education can look like.
We did not want the same old hum drum outdoor furniture around our pool that all the neighbors have. We went to www.vcus.com.sg to find unique pieces that were functional, comfortable and visually appealing. Though we wanted it to not be the standard stuff you find in the home and outdoor centers, we did set a high priority on it being comfortable. The next thing we wanted was durability for outdoor use in all weather. It needed to last through the sun, rain and wind year in and year out.
We found some really nice pieces of outdoor lawn and patio furniture at www.vcus.com.sg. My favorite is the round couch. It is so comfortable for lounging.
