Is Green Mountain Energy Reliable?

I am new to this part of Texas and I am wondering if the best choice here is Green Mountain Energy. I had never heard of them before I started to do the research on which company I wanted to get the power connected with. I went to http://www.energyproviderstexas.com/green-mountain-energy-texas/ and did a little bit of research about the electricity rates. There are a couple of other options, but the rates are just slightly better in this address if you pick Green Mountain. I never heard of any of these companies though. In my experience the big thing has to do with whether or not they are going to be good about getting the power back on when you have a problem. This is pretty close to Corpus Cristi Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Obviously the tropical storms and hurricanes are going to eventually come blowing in from. You are going to lose power and the big question is how long it is going to take to get the lights back on after the wind stops blowing.

The house is pretty nice and it is only about a half an hour to the beach. Of course it is not as nice as we would like, but we have a plan to expan it. That is not going to be that hard really. The house has a built in garage. It is going to be relatively easy to put a loft in above the garage. We figure we shall put my office in the garage itself. Then we are going to get a contractor to put us in a stand alone garage, a rather large one. I want to be able to have the room to put in a work shop along the back wall of the building and room for the tractor.
