I have been having a great time watching contractors building the new building that will house my new business. They began the work on it about two weeks ago, and it is so exciting to show up and see what has changed from just a day or two earlier. I was recently told I need to choose who to get my commercial energy account through very soon.
I used to live in a very large city in another state where it was rare for someone like me to have a chance to build a place to house a business. That is because there are so many commercial buildings around as it is, that you really only need to choose an existing one to rent or buy. But after moving to a small town where there is plenty of room to build and prices are lower, I decided to build from the ground up. It has been really getting to make my own choices, rather than needing to be forced to deal with existing things already in place.
When I began asking other people to find out which company I needed to call about getting utilities set up for my building, I was very surprised to learn that we have more than one option in our area. Where I lived before, there was no choice but to purchase electricity through the city itself. It was common for many of us to not like that, so it was a really nice feeling to have more options. And competition is good for any business because it can help keep prices lower for consumers.
So, after getting the names of each business to call, I put together a list of questions to ask. I also wanted to know if any of the companies offered green energy plans. It was a pleasant surprise to learn that one of them did. After hearing their pricing and learning they offer what I want, I decided to go with them.
