A Taste for New Cuisine
When I get hungry, I usually got to the same old places that I've been used to visiting for the past 10 years. There's a place that sells sandwiches, one that sells Chinese food, one that sells Greek food, and even one that sells soul food. I rotate between all of them, but I still get tired of them. I don't eat Italian food that often, so I thought that an Italian restaurant San Diego residents could eat at would be a nice change of pace. I looked for one at one of the online restaurant review sites Read more [...]
I Needed a Solid Website Design
I knew that I did not have the talent to design my own website. I already had considered hiring a company that does professional web design, but I knew that I had to get all of my ducks in a row first. I simply could not go to a company that designs websites and give them nothing to go on. I run a small business, but I knew that I could grow it considerably if I could just get an online presence that I could maintain. That is why I wanted to hire a professional team to design my website.I knew that Read more [...]
The Team is Ready to Play
I bought some custom socks no minimum payment required because I wanted my soccer team to have some before the big game. We had been playing with some store bought socks that were pretty functional, but they weren't anything special. I think that every good team needs to have apparel that shows people that they are a team and how they have a cohesive look. These custom socks did just that by giving the team matching colors for their feet and legs. It's a small addition to the overall image of a player, Read more [...]
How to Get Rid of Birds
Recently, there have been more and more birds that have taken to spending a large portion of their day in my yard. I wouldn't mind so much if the birds did no poop everywhere, which is very disgusting and it is causing an inconvenience for my entire family. So I have decided to take action and look up bird control in NJ to see what can be done to deal with this bird problem. I do not necessarily want to get rid of all of the birds in my yard completely, and at the same time, I also do not want to Read more [...]
Some things you save as a parent to remind your kids of later. Those embarrassing little things they did as toddlers are wonderful when they get a bit out of hand as teenagers. Just threatening to release the information to their friends can get them to comply. If I was to keep a book of such things, then last weeks episode of needing expert drain cleaning in Bergen County NJ would be a prime example. Flushing a couple of those toy blocks that connect together to make larger objects will not clog Read more [...]
A Partner in My Life
Setting up a business, getting the permits and filing the necessary paperwork with the proper authorities, can be daunting. Doing a company incorporation in a place like Singapore felt challenging even though it's easier than in most places. I wanted to expand my mail order business into Asia and decided to set up shop in Singapore due to their friendly pro-business environment. They're known as a mecca for business and I thought I could save more money operating here than in other places. The corruption, for example, is quite low compared to other countries in the region and English is widely spoken. Read more [...]
No Better Way to Help Our Customers
Running a fish market in Singapore is an exhausting job. Still, I wanted to find a way to better promote ourselves to our customers and potential customers. I ended up going to http://doorgiftsingapore.com to find out if there was some way to use promotional business gifts to rack up bigger sales. I learned about the site from a friend who works at a bank that handed out bottles to customers with their bank's name and logo on the items and he said it really worked out well for them. People actually started asking for them when they came in. Read more [...]
I spent all of last weekend looking for the best apartments for rent in Alamo Heights because I wanted to make sure I chose well. I spent a lot of years living with my parents past college, and I really needed some privacy and a place of my own. And I really wanted it to be a place that would make me feel that I did not need to go home. I wanted a place that made me proud and made me feel that it was worth coming home to every night. I made up a long list of the things that I was looking for, and I also understood that I may not find a place that had all or even most of what was on my list. But that was okay because I just needed to get something that was somewhat close. Read more [...]
How Hard is It to Design Web Pages?
So I have been thinking about career options lately and also thinking that I would like to be able to learn something relatively quickly where I would end up with the sort of skills that I could take just about any place and earn money. For example I am thinking that being able to design web pages is something where you should be able to apply to lots of jobs and you could do that on the side at home. I guess you need to take graphic design courses if you want to be able to do it well. No one is going to pay you to build a lame web page, in fact a lot of people could do that for themselves. It is not really that hard if you only want to do a half way decent job. Read more [...]

New Tricks with the Magic Wand
Last year I bought my wife a magic wand and she can't get enough of it. It has a powerful vibration that can stimulate the nerves and cause arousing sensations. She thought it would be nice of you could put different things on the magic wand to create different sensations. She tried to attach a whisk to the wand with some duct tape, but it didn't stay on for long because of all the vibrations. She tried again with a spoon handle, but it didn't work. I looked online to see if there were any official magic wand attachments. Read more [...]
Trees are nice that line our street. I remember when the city first planted them. Everyone thought there was enough space between the road edge and the sidewalks that the roots from the trees would never cause a problem. Well, the road has had bumps and has been resurfaced a couple of times since the trees grew huge, and most of the sidewalks are in poor shape. I had to call sidewalk contractors in Bronx NY to have our sidewalks replaced. The city took care of the roads. The property owners take care of the sidewalks.
We had to get rid of the trees and pretty much have some major excavation done to clean out the roots that have been buckling and cracking the sidewalks. Some of the buckling is a foot high! It is an extreme trip hazard. If someone falls, then the liability insurance of the homeowner pays. It does not matter who planted the trees initially. The repair and maintenance of the sidewalks is the responsibility of the property owners.
We have a lot more people walking and riding bikes and jogging now than we have had for as long back as I can remember. I can remember as a child having more kids playing outdoors, but now we have families walking together and riding bicycles. Lots of people are walking their dogs too. Not all of them leave messes to clean up. I want to have nice level sidewalks for people to enjoy in front of my house. There is that weird half ownership thing with public sidewalks. Homeowners have to keep them up, but you have to let anyone walk on them. Sure, I would really like it if people would always clean up after their dogs, but I can't stop them from walking by the house on the sidewalk. I will just make it nice again, plant some trees that do not grow really tall and hope that the new concrete sidewalks last for many decades.
I have been looking at the possibility of relocating to the San Angelo area of Texas. The company has a job down there and it is a fair opportunity, but I have to pick up and move. The thing looks a lot like a gamble in reality, because there would be a wager involved on my part. I would be hoping that I could go down there and get my self one rung up the ladder and then work my way higher up. I have been looking for an explanation of something I found out when I was checking in to the details of moving to this area. That is the fact that you can apparently pick and choose your electric company down there. From what I can tell there is about three or four different choices in any particular place that you might pick. So you can find a web page and plug in your zip code, it will let you figure out what your rates are and who you get to pick between.
At any rate I have no clue what you look for in a power company or even if there is any difference between the one and the other. In High Point NC you want to get your power hooked up, then you call Duke Power. It is all that there is to it. They have the monopoly and so there is not anything for you to think about. If you want power you have to get it from them and that is all that there is to it. I am wondering if you can count on any of them to show up sooner when you have a problem. Obviously there are going to be storms and the power will go out, the big deal is getting it back on.
A Companion for My Uncle
I found a helpful website that assisted me in changing to a new energy provider. I usually don't switch from a service unless they are truly terrible and don't offer any attempts to redeem themselves. My old energy provider was one of the worst providers out there, and their service wasn't that cheap either. I would often call to complain about either the service itself or about the price of the service. Their customer service didn't do anything to help, and essentially sent me through a series of never ending forwards from one to the next. I eventually was able to speak to the person in charge, and he told me that if I wasn't pleased with their service, I could always find an alternative, and that's what I did.
When I tried to cancel my service with the company, they were every apologetic and wanted to do anything to keep me from leaving, but at that point, I had made up my mind. If only the company had been willing to be so flexible when I was actually a paying customer, then maybe I wouldn't have needed to cancel their service in the first place. There's not point trying to win over a customer after they've decided to leave.
Things are better with the provider I have now. There is a significant difference in the amount I pay for energy on my bill now than when I was with my old provider. I haven't experienced any problems with the service either. I've told everyone I know that if they aren't already a customer of this company, they should be. I've gotten a few people to switch over to this provider, and because of it, the company has actually offered a credit on my bill, which makes my payment even lower than before.
A Companion Who Can Really Cook
We have found us a little place about twenty minutes North of the center of San Antonio. It is a nice area and we have been looking at the things we need to do next. Right now I am looking at the cost of a home security system and how much it costs to monitor it after you buy it. I found this site, http://home-security.co/adt-home-security/texas/s/san-antonio/ and I am wondering how much more there is to it than meets the eyes. Obviously the number in the big letters is nice. I like the idea of paying 9 dollars a month for it, but it is not clear if there is a lot more to it or not. You have to wonder if that is one of those offers that is only good for a limited time. You see that from cable and Internet companies all of the time. They make you this deal that looks really awesome when you sign up for it, but you are getting yourself in to a long term deal and the initial monthly cost only lasts a few months or for one year out of a 2 year agreement.
In this case it talks about the initial cost of the system and says something about 99 dollars, but I am trying to figure out if that is the bottom line or if that is addition to what the system costs you. I sort of think that the 99 dollars is like a minimum fee, even if you already had your own home security system you would have to pay that much more to get the monthly offer. Of course it is not that great of an offer if that is the way that it is, but I have to look closely and see what they mean.
Let’s Make Them Bleed Green
We all want to be able to save on our Internet service, right? These days it seems like finding cheap and reliable Internet is hard to come by. Here in Louisville we only have three options available; AT&T DSL, Time Warner Cable and DirecTV. All three of these charge absolutely insane amounts for access to the 'Net. The prices that are 'reasonable' are so slow in speed that it's laughable at best. It infuriates me that America has fallen so far behind in terms of quality digital Internet when we should be leading the pack and yet, here we are wasting away.
It makes you wonder where that $300 billion went. You know, the money that was given to ISPs nearly 20 years ago to lay down a cable and FiOS infrastructure. Money that came out of our pockets! What happened to that infrastructure? It was never built. They took the money and ran after they bought each other out. Somehow they had worked the legislature through their lobbying groups so that they didn't 'have' to lay down the lines despite being given the money. Are our politicians sleeping at the wheel in Congress and the Senate? It certainly is beginning to feel that way.
The FCC has shaken them up but it's only a start. Losing that fight to us cost them millions of dollars in advertising attacks and lobbying. Revel in that, America. Revel in the fact that you forced them to lose that money. It might not be much to them but it's a huge amount to the share holders who, sooner or later, might decide that this fight is simply a foolish one and not worth pursuing. The more we make them bleed the green the better our chances are at preserving a true Open Internet.
Is Green Mountain Energy Reliable?
I am new to this part of Texas and I am wondering if the best choice here is Green Mountain Energy. I had never heard of them before I started to do the research on which company I wanted to get the power connected with. I went to http://www.energyproviderstexas.com/green-mountain-energy-texas/ and did a little bit of research about the electricity rates. There are a couple of other options, but the rates are just slightly better in this address if you pick Green Mountain. I never heard of any of these companies though. In my experience the big thing has to do with whether or not they are going to be good about getting the power back on when you have a problem. This is pretty close to Corpus Cristi Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Obviously the tropical storms and hurricanes are going to eventually come blowing in from. You are going to lose power and the big question is how long it is going to take to get the lights back on after the wind stops blowing.
The house is pretty nice and it is only about a half an hour to the beach. Of course it is not as nice as we would like, but we have a plan to expan it. That is not going to be that hard really. The house has a built in garage. It is going to be relatively easy to put a loft in above the garage. We figure we shall put my office in the garage itself. Then we are going to get a contractor to put us in a stand alone garage, a rather large one. I want to be able to have the room to put in a work shop along the back wall of the building and room for the tractor.
Hair Treatments for Dry Hair
I have very dry hair and it is starting to bother me quite a bit. The biggest problem is that I have a lot of split ends, and they keep developing at a rapid pace. I wish that my hair was not so dry and damaged, and I am not sure what the problem is. I live in a rather humid environment, so I would think that would help. But it has not been helping very much. I am looking at places to find the best hair treatment in singapore to treat my dry hair.
I really wish I knew the reason why my hair is so dry. It is quite a bother to me, and I need to figure out something to do to fix the issue. I am hoping to find a good salon to go to that will have treatments for dry hair. I also have a bit of a dry scalp issue as well, but it does not bother me as much as my hair problem. I am hoping to visit a salon to receive treatments as soon as possible. Right now, I am taking some time off of work, to relax, and try to improve my mental state. So I think it would be a good time to pamper myself a bit, and that is what I intend to do.
It would be best if I could find a salon that is located near to my house. The dry hair treatment is my top priority, as I have already stated. But I am also curious to learn what can be done about dry scalp, because that is an issue that could get worse for me, if I do not do something about it. I have never had severe dry scalp problems before, and I hope to not start soon.
I need to find a new place to live in the near future, because I am getting evicted by my long time boyfriend. I can't believe that things have actually come to this. He has threatened me before in the past, but I did not take him very seriously. I guess that I was wrong to not take him seriously this time, because he is going to go through with it. I have been looking into this one apartment complex, its URL is: http://www.brookhighlandplace.com and it looks pretty nice. More than that, it might actually be within my price range, which is great. Read more [...]
